The Spark

The walls you can't see until you arrive

When my father began using a wheelchair, our family's love for travel didn't change — but the world around us suddenly felt full of invisible walls.

Planning a simple weekend getaway turned into an exhausting ordeal. We would scroll through thousands of hotel websites and travel portals, only to find a single, vague checkbox: "Wheelchair Accessible."

When we arrived at these "accessible" properties, reality told a very different story:

  • A ramp at the main entrance, but a 3-inch step into the bathroom.
  • A doorway too narrow for a wheelchair to pass through.
  • No grab bars near the toilet or shower — basic daily hygiene made unsafe.
  • Zero information on nearby hospitals or trained staff for assistance.

Sitting in a hotel room that was "accessible on paper" but unusable in reality, the idea for AbleStay was born.

"My father didn't just need a ramp. He needed grab handles, a roll-in shower, caretaker support, and dignity. Generic travel platforms were completely blind to these needs."

The "Accessible" Lie A single checkbox tells a family nothing about whether they can actually stay safely.
🏥
Medical Safety Matters Distance to the nearest hospital should be standard — not an afterthought.
🌏
India's First Verified Portal AbleStay is built to change how accessible hospitality is discovered.
The Gap in Indian Hospitality

The problem isn't infrastructure.
It's visibility.

India's hospitality industry is actively investing in accessible infrastructure. The problem? Nobody is showcasing it. Hotels don't know how to detail their accessibility, and caregivers have no reliable way to find them.

Our Mission & Vision

No family should ever hesitate
to book a holiday.

Our Mission: To eliminate travel anxiety for caregivers and individuals with physical disabilities by delivering 100% verified, transparent, and detailed accessibility data for every stay — so that a family's love for travel is never limited by a wheelchair or an aging parent.
🛡️
Trust

Every property is physically verified. No listing goes live until our team has measured, inspected, and documented the real accessibility features — not what the hotel claims.

Accessibility

We measure what matters: door widths, ramp gradients, grab bar placement, shower types, bed heights, and the distance to the nearest hospital. Real numbers. Real safety.

🤝
Dignity

We believe every traveller deserves a holiday free from anxiety, surprise barriers, and the indignity of a bathroom they cannot safely use. Dignity is not a luxury — it is the baseline.

"My dream is to build AbleStay into India's most trusted travel ecosystem for families with special needs — so that one day, booking a holiday feels exactly as effortless for every family as it does for everyone else."
